"It's embarrassing": Haslers' Heated Exchange with Journalist Further Sours Titans Loss

Gold Coast Titans fans are accustomed to disappointment.

For years, the club has struggled, and with rumors circulating about star players potentially leaving, it's a grim outlook as they gear up for what is likely to be another season hoisting the wooden spoon. Those associated with the team would understandably be feeling the pressure.

However, head coach Des Hasler seemed unfazed during a post-match press conference following the Titans' loss to the New Zealand Warriors. When questioned by a journalist regarding reports suggesting that David Fifita had been granted permission to negotiate with other clubs, Hasler's response was blunt: "He's signed for '26."

The journalist, dissatisfied with Hasler's ambiguous answer, pressed the issue by asking the same question two more times. Each time, he received the same curt reply from an increasingly irritated Hasler. Eventually, the journalist pointed out that Hasler wasn't addressing the question directly, prompting the coach to reach his breaking point.
