The NRL and Rugby League Players Association have come to an in-principle collective bargaining agreement (CBA), bringing an end to their bitter dispute.

This new CBA, which will last until 2027 and cover both men's and women's players, is set to become the league's first billion-dollar agreement.

The negotiations were finalized after intense discussions over the past 48 hours, culminating in a handshake agreement on Thursday.

As a result, all industrial action taken by the players, including the game-day media boycott, has been immediately lifted.

There were even talks of a potential boycott of the prestigious Dally M awards, but any further action has been ruled out.

The details of the agreement will be finalized in the coming days, ensuring that the CBA can be implemented swiftly.
