Halasima: 100% Enjoyment, 100% Impact

Halasima: Enjoying it 100 per cent and starting as well

Leka Halasima, a promising teen player for the NZ Warriors, is making a significant impact on the field as he takes inspiration from co-captain James Fisher Harris.

Although he began his career with a debut in round 18 last season, Halasima showcased his talent with a remarkable length-of-the-field try against the Wests Tigers in round four this year.

With just over 10 minutes remaining and his team down by six points, he received a pass from Taine Tuaupiki, sprinted down the sideline, and skillfully maneuvered through defenders to score his first try.

This contributed to a 26-24 victory, marking the Warriors' third consecutive win.

Halasima is part of a youthful group of players that has propelled the Warriors to third place on the ladder.

He attributes much of his confidence and these achievements to coach Andrew Webster, who has empowered Halasima and fellow rookies Demitric Vaimauga, Ali Leiataua, and Jacob Laban to perform at their best.
