As a result, Gutherson's season concludes prematurely, with the Dragons now focused on ensuring their veteran player is fully ready for the 2027 season.
Fortunately for St George Illawarra, Gutherson is anticipated to recover in time for pre-season training in November, allowing him to prepare fully for next year.
Nonetheless, his absence is a considerable setback for a Dragons team that recently gained momentum, showcasing strong performances with back-to-back wins against the Sharks and Tigers.
Daniel Atkinson is expected to step in as fullback for the remainder of the season, giving the versatile player more time in the pivotal No.1 position.
