Gray Explains Move from Broncos to Rabbitohs

Jye Gray, a former player in the Brisbane Broncos junior development system, has shared insights on his transition from the Broncos to the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

In under two years, Gray has rapidly established himself in the NRL, becoming a prominent figure at one of rugby league's most esteemed clubs.

The fullback has evolved from an unknown rookie to a standout player in cardinal and myrtle colors, even topping the Dally M leaderboard earlier this year.

With ongoing discussions surrounding his potential involvement in the rebel rugby union league R360, the 21-year-old reflected on his choice to join the Rabbitohs in 2022.

While training with Bronco stars like Ezra Mam and Selwyn Cobbo, Gray acknowledged that the chance to enter a full-time NRL system was too good to pass up-something the Rabbitohs provided.

"I got an opportunity to come out of school and go into a full-time system," Gray told Zero Tackle.

"I was with the Broncos until just before I graduated, and then came over here to the Rabbitohs. I trained with Selwyn Cobbo there for a bit and was like, this guy's a freak."
