Phil Gould is standing firm on his comments about Latrell Mitchell in a bold move to determine Josh Addo-Carr's future with the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs boss has hinted that Addo-Carr may have played his last game for the club, signaling a potential end to his time in the blue and white jersey.

Canterbury's head honcho, Phil Gould, is showing signs of running out of patience with Josh Addo-Carr and is teetering on the edge of recommending that the club part ways with the troubled winger.

Gould revealed that Addo-Carr has been summoned to face the NRL Integrity Unit this week to explain the circumstances surrounding his drug-driving incident, before facing the Bulldogs board to plead his case for remaining at the club.

The decision on Addo-Carr's future will ultimately come down to Gould, whose word holds immense influence within the club.

It is highly unlikely that the board will go against his recommendation.

Despite initially defending Addo-Carr in the face of the drug charges, Gould now appears to be more doubtful.

He stated on '100% Footy' that he will make a decision on Addo-Carr's future and present it to the key decision-makers.

"Gus went out on a limb for Addo-Carr when he maintained his innocence, but now his stance has shifted," Gould said.

"Ultimately, we will do what is best for the club in the long run.

It's all about putting the club first, the team second, and the individual third."
