Knights move into finals week two after golden-point thriller against the Raiders

In a thrilling match at McDonald Jones Stadium, the nib Newcastle Knights kept their season alive with a golden point victory over the Canberra Raiders.

Despite being down 16-6 at half-time, the Knights fought back in the second half, scoring four tries to level the score.

However, the Raiders mounted a comeback of their own, creating a tense and exciting atmosphere on the field.

In extra-time, Kalyn Ponga secured the win for Newcastle by successfully kicking a penalty goal, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

This victory means that the Knights have advanced to the second week of the finals, where they will face off against the Warriors.

The match began with great anticipation, as it was the Club's first home final since 2006.

In the fifth minute, Greg Marzhew continued his impressive try-scoring streak at home, diving over in the corner after a set move down the left side.

Ponga successfully converted the try, giving the Knights an early 6-0 lead.
