In a candid confession, movie icon Russell Crowe, a part-owner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, has revealed the reason behind his self-imposed ban on showing emotions during NRL games.

The Gladiator star explained that he decided to keep a low profile at the club's matches to prevent stealing the spotlight and becoming a distraction for the team.

Crowe, who invested in the Rabbitohs to help revive their fortunes, played a pivotal role in their 2014 NRL premiership win under coach Michael Maguire.

While initially known for his animated reactions in the corporate box, the actor has since taken a step back to allow the focus to remain on the players, rather than on his passionate displays during games.

In a recent interview on NOVA 96.9, Crowe admitted that he now refrains from showing emotions while watching the Rabbitohs play, citing a desire to avoid interfering with the team's performance.

Despite his dedication to the club, he understands the importance of maintaining a level-headed demeanor to support the players without creating unnecessary distractions on the field.
