Geyer Joins Bears, Reviving Reds Heritage

The Perth Bears are preparing to add a new player to their roster with the impending signing of a forward from the Wests Tigers.

This player recently joined the joint venture club during the preseason but is now set to embark on a new adventure in Western Australia.

Mavrik Geyer, son of the Western Reds and Panthers icon Mark Geyer, played for the Western Australian franchise 32 times from 1995 to 1997.

This move will serve as a significant tribute to the Reds' heritage, giving a current generation connection to its storied past through the son of a local legend.

Mal Meninga, the head coach, aims to foster a robust future and culture within the Bears organization by bringing in Geyer.

This signing marks a strategic step as Meninga shapes his starting lineup ahead of pre-season training, slated to begin in November this year.
