Former NRL star Sam Burgess has made a surprising career move, taking on the role of head coach at Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club in England.

The club announced his arrival with a photo of Burgess and his girlfriend Lucy Graham, captioned "The Boss has landed!" Graham also shared her excitement on Instagram, writing "And so it begins.

It's good to be home." She also posted a picture of Burgess in his new uniform, accompanied by two overheated and panting emoji faces.

The couple has been together for almost a year and got engaged in June.

Burgess, known for his successful career as a player for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, has now transitioned into a coaching role.
