The National Rugby League (NRL) has revealed that four clubs have been chosen to participate in the highly-anticipated season-opening double header in Las Vegas next year.

The selected teams include South Sydney, Brisbane, Manly, and the Roosters, who presented successful proposals to the NRL.

The decision was made in collaboration with Channel Nine and Fox Sports.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo emphasized that these round one matches, scheduled for late February or early March, aim to showcase rugby league and Australia to the US market.

South Sydney has already announced that the game will take place at the domed Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, home to the Las Vegas Raiders and boasting a capacity of 65,000.

It is worth noting that the same venue will host Super Bowl LVIII on 11 February, attracting significant attention due to its distinctive black appearance, earning it the nickname "Death Star."
