In an interview with Rugby League Outlaws, rising star Sam Stonestreet expressed his lifelong ambition to play first-grade for the Cronulla Sharks, stating that it is his childhood dream.

Despite not yet making his debut, the 21-year-old winger has had an outstanding season with the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup, finding the tryline on 16 occasions out of 21 appearances.

Stonestreet remains optimistic and ready to seize the opportunity to play at the NRL level if it comes his way.

"I'm taking it day by day, working hard, and if I get the chance to represent the Sharks in the NRL, I'll grab it with two hands," he confidently stated.

Rugby League enthusiasts can catch the full interview on the Rugby League Outlaws live stream, available from 4pm (AEDT).
