Dragons captain Ben Hunt has been selected to represent the Kangaroos in the upcoming Pacific Championships.

Alongside him, centre Moses Suli and returning forward Hame Sele have been named in the Tonga squad, while Jack de Belin and Dan Russell will join the Kumuls squad.

The news was reported by the Dragons' official website.

In addition to the men's squad, several NRLW standouts have also been chosen to represent their respective nations.

Raecene McGregor, Tyla Nathan-Wong, Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa, Taylor-Adeline Mapusua, and Margot Vella will all compete on the international stage.

Hunt, 33, will aim to build on his twelve previous appearances for the Kangaroos when the tournament commences with a World Cup Final rematch against Samoa on October 14th at QLD Country Bank Stadium.

After a week off, the Kangaroos will face the Kiwis at AAMI Park, with two victories securing their place in the Pacific Championships Final in Hamilton on November 4th.

Hunt made an impressive start to his international career, scoring a try off the bench in his debut against England in the 2014 Four Nations.

He then went on to feature in five of the Kangaroos' six matches at the end of last year, including their triumph in the World Cup Final at Old Trafford.
