In the 2023 season, Reimis Smith showcased his versatility and team-first attitude in the world of Rugby League.

He initially made a name for himself in the right centre role, forming a formidable defensive partnership with Will Warbrick.

While Warbrick was transitioning into his first season in the top grade, Smith played an underrated role in supporting him and helping him adapt to the challenges of the NRL.

Smith's dedication and commitment were evident as he played in every game leading up to Round 21.

This impressive run saw him reach a significant milestone of 50 games for the Melbourne Storm in Round 18.

Just two rounds later, Smith celebrated his 100th NRL game against the Sydney Roosters, a testament to his longevity and importance to the team.

In addition to his contributions for the Storm, Smith also had the opportunity to represent the Brisbane Tigers in the HostPlus Cup.

During his three appearances for the Tigers, he notched up a try and had six tackle breaks, showcasing his skill and impact on the field.

Towards the end of the season, Smith demonstrated his adaptability once again by transitioning to the wing for the Storm's Round 24 clash against the Canberra Raiders.

He continued to excel in this position, playing a further four games and finishing the season with a total of five tries, six try assists, and an impressive 48 tackle breaks.

Overall, Smith's performance in the 2023 season highlighted his versatility, defensive prowess, and selfless attitude towards the team.

Whether in the centres or on the wing, he consistently made valuable contributions and played a crucial role in the success of the Melbourne Storm.
