Xavier Va'a and Robert Toia, two promising young rugby league players from Queensland, were pleasantly surprised when they were approached by Sydney Roosters' Head of Recruitment, Daniel Anderson, at junior representative carnivals.

Little did they know that this encounter would lead them to become part of the prestigious Bondi-based Foundation Club.

Anderson's unwavering belief in the duo and his determination to make them feel welcome in the East was evident from the start.

Va'a, who hails from Toowoomba and was previously scouted by the Broncos, was taken aback by Anderson's interest and the lengths he went to secure their services.

However, upon learning about Anderson's impressive coaching resume and his track record of developing successful players, Va'a quickly realized that this was a golden opportunity.
