In a move that could be seen as a true blue Aussie success story, former Canterbury Bulldogs player Jayden Okunbor has scored himself a new contract for the 2025 season.
Currently playing ball overseas in the UK with the Bradford Bulls in the RFL Championship, Okunbor has signed on the dotted line for another year, keeping him in the game until 2025.
This extension from Bradford comes after Okunbor made a temporary shift earlier in the year from the Super League team Hull FC.
Before his international adventure, this Milpera Colts junior showed his skills in 45 games for the Canterbury Bulldogs, hitting the field for the first time in Round 3 of 2019 against the Wests Tigers, with 17 of those games happening just last season.
Manager Eamon O'Carroll from the Bradford Bulls expressed his delight at keeping Okunbor on the team for another year.
"I am really happy to have signed Jayden for another 12 months, he has really immersed himself into the group and it is clear to see he's got a smile back on his face and that has transferred onto the field," O'Carroll said in a statement.
