Foran's high tackle lands him in hot water

Kieran Foran, the seasoned warrior of the Gold Coast Titans, has been caught in the crosshairs of the NRL's match review committee for a high tackle in a recent pre-season skirmish against the Brisbane Broncos.

The crafty five-eighth and seasoned halfback, who may be nearing the end of his NRL journey in 2025, found himself in hot water after a robust tussle with Brisbane's own Brendan Piakura.

The ref wasted no time in blowing the whistle, and Foran was promptly put on report.

The committee wasted no time in delivering a Grade 3 careless high tackle charge against Foran, adding another scrape to his rap sheet.

The wily veteran now faces a $3000 fine with an early guilty plea, or a two-match sit-out if he decides to take his chances at the judiciary and comes out empty-handed.

Foran will need to tread carefully as he navigates this hurdle in his path, hoping to avoid any further blemishes on his record as he battles through the trenches of the NRL.
