'We weren't too happy about it': Fogarty opens up on Vegas brawl distraction
Las Vegas: Jamal Fogarty admits the late-night brawl was a distraction when it first broke, but the Canberra Raiders halfback says they've put it behind them and the focus is squarely on the New Zealand Warriors.
Fogarty said it was "perfect" that Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies had owned their mistake - a drunken wrestle in the hotel lift after a night out.
The NRL integrity unit is investigating the incident, which happened on the Raiders' first night in Las Vegas, but there won't be any sanctions until they return home from the game at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.
Fogarty, speaking to The Canberra Times at the Grand Canyon West on Thursday, admitted it had initially been a distraction.
"It was obviously when it came out, but since then we've moved on," he said.
"That was just a mishap from Hudson and Morgan.
"They're best mates - if you see them at Raiders training or walk around Braddon they're always in each other's pockets.
