Thomas Flegler's return to representative football was among the clearest successes in my annual prediction review.
I wanted his comeback to happen more than I genuinely expected it to.
A severe injury appeared capable of ending his career, but he completed a lengthy rehabilitation and played all three State of Origin games.
He also had a brilliant season for the Dolphins.
My prediction that fans would oppose a proposed kick-off rule also proved accurate, with resistance across the NRL fanbase unusually widespread.
The change was raised before the season, then largely disappeared from discussion before being trialled for two weeks at the campaign's end.
Each year, I make 50 deliberately bold predictions about competition winners, individual honours and assorted surprises, mainly for entertainment.
This time, the results were mixed: some landed, others missed badly, and a few ended in draws.
