In a tough qualifying clash, the Jersey Flegg Sharks suffered a defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs, leaving them with a sudden death match against the Eels next week.

Despite a valiant effort, the Sharks were unable to overcome the Bulldogs' early dominance, as the Bulldogs took an early lead of 24-0 before the Sharks even had a chance to attack in their opponent's territory.

Although the Sharks managed to stage a brief comeback, the Bulldogs ultimately emerged victorious with a final score of 42-22.

Despite the loss, the Sharks still have a chance to continue their campaign, as they will now face off against the Eels, who knocked out the Panthers in their previous match.

The Bulldogs came out of the gate with great aggression, capitalizing on the Sharks' mistakes and quickly scoring four tries before the game found its rhythm.

However, the Sharks showed resilience and fought back in the first half, with Kristian Dixon scoring a try after a brilliant exchange of passes, bringing the score to 26-6 after Dixon successfully converted from the sideline.

In the next set of plays, the Sharks struck again, with Blake Hosking finishing off a line break from Tully Wilton, narrowing the gap to 24-12 just before halftime.
