In a heartbreaking Grand Final defeat, the Sydney Roosters' Jersey Flegg season came to an end with a 22-20 loss to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
The match, which was a much closer contest than their previous encounter two weeks ago, saw Karl Oloapu and Jordi Mazzone shine for the Bulldogs.
The Roosters got off to a strong start, with Cassius Tia baiting the defence and passing to Xavier Chatfield-Mooka, who beat three defenders to open the scoring.
However, the Bulldogs quickly responded, with Oloapu setting up a try for Mazzone.
Joash Papalii's conversion put the Bulldogs ahead.
The Bulldogs continued their success, scoring their second try through the Oloapu-Hayes combination.
The Roosters fought back, with Chatfield-Mooka scoring his second try to bring them within two points.
