Despite the challenges, the Rabbitohs showcased impressive form in the closing weeks of the season, regaining several players and promising a brighter future for the fans based in Maroubra.
The optimism surrounding the team is further fueled by the fact that many players are already contracted for the next few years, alongside the arrival of fresh talent for the 2026 season.
Additionally, the Lewis Dodd situation has been resolved; the halfback has been released back to the Super League following a difficult season in the NRL.
Clearly, the trajectory for South Sydney seems positive, but numerous questions remain to be addressed on the field. The team aims to achieve a more consistent season of fitness, avoiding the staggering collective loss of over 200 weeks of play time.
