Faataape Confirms Super League Move
Solomona Faataape, Wests Tigers centre, has officially announced his switch to the Catalans Dragons, marking his departure from the NRL.
Reports from Zero Tackle indicate that Faataape has signed a two-year deal with the French club.
Having been part of the Tigers for the last two seasons, Faataape joined the team in 2023 after spending three years with the Brisbane Tigers in the QLD Cup.
He has played in 19 first-grade matches but has recently been sidelined as the team has chosen to feature Taylan May and Heamasi Makasini instead.
Makasini, under contract until 2027, is also set to make his debut shortly.
Faataape expressed his excitement about the new opportunity: "I'm feeling very grateful for the opportunity to soon be a part of such an incredible club.
Playing in the Super League has always been a dream of mine.
I'm excited to move over and can't wait to dig in and work hard with the boys."
