The Dragons are excited to reveal that Emma Verran (née Tonegato), a star for both the Jillaroos and Sky Blues, will return to the club in 2027.
This agreement ensures that the 30-year-old will stay with the Dragons through the end of the 2029 season.
A proud Wollongong native and Helensburgh Tigers junior, Verran has represented the Jillaroos nine times, including in their 2021 Rugby League World Cup victory, as well as nine caps for the Sky Blues.
She was part of Australia's Rugby Sevens team that won an Olympic gold medal in 2016, and made her NRLW debut with the Dragons in 2021, earning the Dally M Medal for Player of the Year while helping the team reach the Grand Final.
After spending the 2022 season with the Dragons, she joined the Sharks for their inaugural campaign in 2023.
Last year, Verran showcased her talents by playing in all but one match during Cronulla's journey to the Preliminary Final, scoring nine tries and assisting on eight, while averaging 136 run metres.
