Adam Elliott, a forward currently uncontracted for the 2026 NRL season, is facing an uncertain future as he has been linked to two rival clubs. Having been a key player for the Newcastle Knights, Elliott missed a significant portion of this season, making only seven appearances due to a biceps injury that sidelined him after Round 12.

At 30 years old, Elliott may be nearing the end of his playing career, but he still possesses the ability to contribute significantly on the field. As he seeks a new contract, it's likely that he will attract interest from multiple teams in the coming months.

Previously, the South Sydney Rabbitohs expressed interest in the two-time Indigenous All Stars representative. However, reports indicate that both the St George Illawarra Dragons and Wests Tigers are now considering him as a potential addition to their squads for the upcoming season.

Currently without a deal in place, News Corp has revealed that both clubs have been "asked to consider" Elliott's services.

"It is obviously very frustrating with me being injured," Elliott shared with The Newcastle Herald in May, reflecting on his playing future.
