The Parramatta Eels have announced injuries affecting both back Sean Russell and forward Sam Tuivaiti.
Both players participated in last weekend's match but will be absent from this week's game against the North Queensland Cowboys.
During the game against the Melbourne Storm, Russell sustained a fractured hand in the first half but continued to play throughout the match.
He will be substituted in the lineup this week by former Bulldog Jordan Samrani, with an expected recovery time of four to six weeks.
With only five weeks left in the regular season, Russell's injury likely ends his season early, though he remains a slim possibility to return for the final game or two.
On the other hand, Tuivaiti is confirmed to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
