Eels Release Hooker Brendan Hands to Toulouse

The Parramatta Eels have officially announced the departure of hooker Brendan Hands, who has been released from his contract to join Toulouse Olympique permanently.

Hands initially moved to the French club on a short-term loan during the 2025 season, following the Eels' acquisition of promising hooker Tallyn De Silva from the Wests Tigers.

With De Silva making a strong impression in the first grade and competition for the No. 9 jersey becoming more intense, Hands received permission to further his career overseas.

After playing a key role in helping Toulouse achieve promotion back to the Super League, the 26-year-old has now completed a full-time transfer, effectively concluding his time with the Eels.

"Brendan has been a valued member of the club and we wish him all the best in this next chapter of his career," the club stated.

Joining Parramatta before the 2022 season, Hands made his NRL debut the following year and participated in over 40 matches in blue and gold.

Known for being a reliable and inventive dummy-half, he became a fan favorite due to his dedication and versatility. However, he ultimately found himself sidelined from the club's future plans under the new coach, Jason Ryles.
