In Round 9 of the Jersey Flegg Cup, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles ended a five-game losing streak by defeating the Kaiviti Silktails 24-4 at the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation.

The Sea Eagles applied early pressure, leading to the opening try in the eighth minute when centre Oliver Lawry broke a tackle, allowing winger Munga Baruani to score in the corner, making it 4-0.

Continuing their dominance, Manly scored again just before halftime, with Baruani crossing for his second try, thanks to a precise cross-field kick from five-eighth Callum Dowell, giving the Sea Eagles an 8-0 lead at the break.

The Silktails responded in the second half, scoring their only try in the 47th minute.

Winger Mikaele Senibua seized on a Manly error in their own half to score, narrowing the gap to 8-4.

However, Manly quickly regained control, with Captain Broden Konz scoring in the 54th minute after receiving an inside ball from Dowell.

This extended the lead to 14-4.

The match demonstrated a strong performance from the Sea Eagles, effectively capitalizing on their opportunities to secure the victory.
