In Round 16 of the Jersey Flegg Cup, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles faced a tough defeat against the South Sydney Rabbitohs, finishing 24-4 at Accor Stadium.

The Sea Eagles struggled to recover from an 18-point halftime deficit, managing only one try in the second half despite multiple opportunities.

South Sydney's strong goal line defense was key to their victory.

The match commenced with Rabbitohs' five-eighth Taj Alvarez scoring a breakaway try in the ninth minute, putting his team ahead 6-0.

South Sydney increased their lead with a second try by Tavis Felsch in the 23rd minute, making the score 12-0.

Just before halftime, Riley Frame scored the Rabbitohs' third try, giving them an 18-0 advantage at the break.

As the first half came to a close, the Sea Eagles had a chance to cut the deficit when Benjamin Taylor appeared to score in the corner, but the referee canceled the play due to a penalty, leaving Manly still trailing by 18 points.
