seaeagles.com.au have announced a disappointing match report from Round 2 against the Warriors.
Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have suffered a 36-16 loss to the New Zealand Warriors in Round 2 of the Telstra Premiership at Go Media Stadium, Auckland.
Manly looked in great shape early on taking the lead after just four minutes creating space on the right edge with Reuben Garrick and Jason Saab combining, to send Tom Trbojevic, who was hunting up on the inside, on his way to the line.
"Garrick missed the conversion from almost in front before landing a penalty goal moments later to have Manly up 6-0," a spokesperson explained.
"Manly bombed a couple of chances through a dropped ball and forward pass before the Warriors hit back when Luke Metcalf put Chanel Harris-Tevita over for the first their first try of the season."
"The Warriors then scored two tries in the space of five minutes to take an 18-6 lead into the break, with Metcalf involved in both," they continued.
"Winger Taine Tuaupiki stepped inside a couple of defenders to score after receiving a long pass from Metcalf, before young centre Ali Leiatua scored after a short ball from Metcalf close to the line."
