Tallis Duncan is on the verge of finalizing a three-year contract extension with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, lasting through the end of the 2030 season.
Clubs have been eager to learn about Duncan's decision regarding an extension to remain with the Rabbitohs.
The Rabbitohs halted contract talks midway through the season for all players except for the 24-year-old, named after Gorden Tallis.
Duncan has expressed his commitment to the Rabbitohs, stating he can't envision playing anywhere else.
"I want to be here, this is where I want to be - I see myself as a South Sydney player for a long time," Duncan stated.
Although Duncan can also play in the centres, he mentioned one club he would not join and hinted that some behind-the-scenes events occurred.
"I was a Roosters junior, but [a return to the Roosters] won't be happening," he remarked.
"There's some history there. I won't say too much about it, but that won't happen."
Meanwhile, Latrell Mitchell, who is also set to be a free agent on November 1, has been confirmed to play against the Gold Coast Titans this Saturday.
