The Dragons started their season on a high note with a decisive 36-14 victory over the Raiders in Canberra.

The game also featured jersey presentations for three players making their NRLW debuts-Pia Tapsell, Trinity Tauaneai, and Indie Bostock-alongside two players making their club debuts, Kiwi Fern Nita Maynard-Perrin and former Raider Ahlivia Ingram.

Additionally, the match marked Nathan Cross' first outing as the head coach of the NRLW team after taking over last October.

Much of the match highlighted the remarkable performances of Teagan Berry and Indie Bostock, who created numerous dazzling attacking opportunities throughout the game.

The Raiders managed to score through a determined effort by Hollie-Mae Dodd, but Temara's conversion attempt failed, leaving the score at 6-4.

The Raiders came close to scoring again shortly after, but their hopes were dashed when Isabella Waterman failed to secure the ball during a crucial moment.
