The St George Illawarra Dragons are solidifying their position by retaining one of their promising forwards, Loko Pasifiki Tonga, who has signed a multi-year deal lasting through at least 2029.
This announcement was made on Wednesday morning as part of the club's initiative to secure homegrown talent, following last week's extensions for the Couchman brothers.
In addition to the three locks, local players Hamish Stewart and Dylan Egan also secured their future with the team, underscoring the Dragons' strategy for building a robust squad.
In 2026, Pasifiki Tonga has made an impact by playing 13 NRL matches, averaging 110 run metres per game and completing 357 tackles at an impressive 97 percent success rate in the Dragons' forward pack.
The 21-year-old is enthusiastic about committing to the Red V and is eager to embrace Dean Young's vision for the franchise.
