In a strategic move to secure their future, the St George Illawarra Dragons have signed new contracts with two promising teenage brothers, known for their cross-code skills.

Creighton and Daniel Meafou are standout players in both rugby league and rugby union, embodying the next generation emerging from the Dragons' development system. They have begun to establish their reputations in the sport.

Creighton, who co-captains the Illawarra Steelers in the Under-17s Harold Matthews Cup, has committed to a long-term contract with the Dragons set to extend from 2027 until the end of 2029.

On the other hand, older brother Daniel has entered a train-and-trial agreement with the Dragons for the 2026 NRL season.

Born in 2008, Creighton is shining not only in rugby league but also in rugby union. He earned a place in the Under-16s Australian Wallabies squad after making a significant impact with an intercept try during the Under-16s Super Rugby competition, representing the NSW Waratahs.

Meanwhile, Daniel, born in 2006, faced challenges during the 2025 SG Ball Cup season due to injuries; however, he previously captained the team in the previous year at lock and is poised to make his Jersey Flegg Cup debut next year as he aims for reserve-grade play.
