The St. George Illawarra Dragons are facing a challenging time, as they find themselves near the top of the NRL's injury list. Their situation has worsened with the addition of Blake Lawrie, who has been hospitalized for the past three days.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Lawrie's hospitalization stems from a cut on his knee that led to a severe infection, necessitating medical intervention.
Admitted to the hospital on Monday, Lawrie had to remain there for three days while doctors treated his condition.
The situation escalated to the point where he required an intravenous drip, which means he will miss the Dragons' final game of the season.
Lawrie is among several players sidelined, as the Dragons will face the Penrith Panthers with seven players unable to participate due to various injuries.
