Dragon's pass on halfback offer from rival team

In a bold move, a rival team has attempted to offload their halfback to the St George Illawarra Dragons for a bargain price, but the Dragons have swiftly dismissed the offer with a firm hand.

After securing the services of Clint Gutherson on a three-year contract from the Parramatta Eels, the Dragons are now laser-focused on finding a replacement for Ben Hunt and partnering him up with Kyle Flanagan in the halves.

The Dragons have been in talks with players from both the NRL and Super League, as they aim to bolster their squad and make a push for the NRL Finals series once more.

However, it seems that one particular halfback from a rival team will not be donning the red and white jersey as they continue their squad revamp.

Reports from The Daily Telegraph suggest that the Wests Tigers made a tempting offer for Jayden Sullivan to return to his former club, but the Saints were uninterested in the proposition and have shifted their gaze towards other options.

This comes on the heels of reports that the Tigers were willing to part ways with $900,000 - equating to $300,000 per season - to make room for new talent in their Top 30 roster as they undergo their own rebuilding phase.
