Dragons' hidden gems spark interest elsewhere

A couple of promising playmakers from the St George Illawarra Dragons have caught the attention of rival NRL teams due to their impressive performances in reserve-grade recently.

Despite the Dragons currently sitting in 11th place on the NRL ladder, their NSW Cup team is performing significantly better, holding the second position behind the New Zealand Warriors.

Coach Shane Flanagan has opted to continue with the current halves pairing of Lyhkan King-Togia and Kyle Flanagan for their upcoming match against the Parramatta Eels.

However, attention is squarely on two other rising stars-Lachlan Ilias and Jonah Glover-who have excelled in reserve-grade and are anticipated to be promoted to the first-grade squad shortly.

"I'm intrigued by a couple of blokes at the Dragons," remarked Brent Read from News Corp during a segment on Triple M's NRL Talk.

This growing interest in Ilias and Glover signals potential future shifts in the Dragons' lineup, particularly as they look to bolster their performance in the league.
