Dragon's den emptying, new leaders inquire within

In a twist that has sent shockwaves through the rugby league world, the St George Illawarra Dragons CEO, Ryan Webb, has announced his departure next April.

This move has ignited a frenzied search for a new leader to steer the Dragons ship towards success and hopefully secure a spot in the NRL Finals under the watchful eye of coach Shane Flanagan.

Having taken the reins in 2020 from his predecessor Brian Johnston, Webb has played a pivotal role in shaping the Dragons' future.

From boosting commercial revenues to expanding community programs, Webb's tenure has been marked by growth and development within the club.

His departure, though expected, leaves big shoes to fill as the Dragons look towards a bright future.

"Ryan has been a true asset to the club, guiding us through turbulent times and setting us on a path towards success," said Dragons Chairman Andrew Lancaster.

"His leadership has been instrumental in the achievements, from record revenues to major infrastructure projects.

The Dragons owe a great deal to his dedication and hard work."

As the Dragons brace for a new era, the search for a new CEO is on.

Who will step up to the plate and lead the Dragons to glory? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain - the Dragons are a team on the rise, and with the right leader at the helm, they could soar to new heights in the rugby league world.
