The Dragons concluded their season with a 30-22 defeat against the Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday afternoon, according to dragons.com.au.

Utilizing the fast Newcastle track, the Dragons initially excelled, scoring three first-half tries, including a remarkable long-range effort from Teagan Berry, giving them a solid lead at halftime.

The Knights mounted a strong comeback, largely due to debutant Keighley Simpson, who scored three tries within 25 minutes, ultimately sealing the match for her team.

Early in the game, Simone Karpani left the field for a head injury assessment, which she did not pass, allowing Grace Giampino to step in.

Shortly thereafter, the Southwell sisters faced off, with Hannah penalized for a late hit on her younger sister as she advanced toward the line.

The Dragons' defense faced significant challenges; however, Nathan Cross's team displayed commendable grit in fending off the relentless Knights.

Despite this, the Knights managed to score, with Yasmin Clydsdale-celebrating her 50th NRLW appearance-shaking off a tackle and offloading to Mercedez Taulelei-Siala, who crossed for the opening try, making it 4-0.

In response, the Dragons found momentum 20 minutes in when Bronte Wilson powered through four Newcastle defenders to score, reigniting their hopes in the match.
