Riordan had previously been a member of the Brumbies' Super W squad.
Shenai Lendill will move back onto the wing due to the absence of Cortez Te Pou.
Meanwhile, Jamilee Bright will return from a neck complaint and take her place in the second row.
Renee Targett will resume her role as the hooker, with Kaarla Cowan moving to lock.
Additionally, Zali Hopkins has been given a recall and will be a part of the interchange.
