Dragons aim to cross the Roosters' recruitment nest

The St George Illawarra Dragons have struggled to reach the finals since 2018 and have faced challenges in attracting high-profile recruits.

In light of this, CEO Tim Watsford is seeking change and reportedly has set his sights on Daniel Anderson, the respected recruitment manager from the Sydney Roosters.

Michael Chammas shared on Nine's 100% Footy that "they're talking about getting a new recruitment manager in...

he is their preferred candidate...

nothing's done just as yet."

Anderson joined the Roosters' front office in 2019 but faced a serious setback in 2022 when he sustained a spinal injury in a tragic body surfing accident, leading to quadriplegia.

Remarkably, he made a return to the Roosters in 2023 and has since been a crucial part of their operations.

The Dragons' interest in Anderson signifies a move to revitalize their recruitment strategy as they aim to regain competitiveness.
