In a historic moment for the NRL, dragons.com.au has reported that Mathew and Max Feagai, along with Ryan and Toby Couchman, will create history on Saturday afternoon when they both sets of twins appear in the same NRL game against the Rabbitohs at Cairns' Barlow Park.
The Feagai twins have already had the opportunity to play alongside each other on four occasions at the NRL level, showcasing their incredible chemistry on the field.
On the other hand, the Couchman twins will be making their debut as a pair this weekend, adding to the excitement surrounding the game.
Max Feagai, who made his NRL debut as a teenager, made a strong impression off the bench against the Knights in Round 19 of the 2020 season.
Following in his footsteps, Mathew joined the top grade the following season and even scored a try in a remarkable 32-12 victory against the Bulldogs at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
It is worth noting that during this game, Mathew proudly wore the club's iconic 'blood and bandages' jersey, paying homage to the inaugural St George Dragons team from 1921.
As for the Couchman twins, Dragons fans got their first glimpse of their talent during the team's season opener against the Titans in March.
Toby, who had impressed during the preseason, earned his debut, while Ryan's outstanding performance in the Knock On Effect NSW Cup led to his NRL debut last week against the Eels at CommBank Stadium.
Ryan expressed his elation upon realizing his dream and officially becoming Dragon #268 over the weekend.
With the Feagai and Couchman twins taking the field together, this NRL game promises to be a memorable and historic event for rugby league fans.
