Tino Fa'asuamaleaui received Queensland's spirit award after playing in Origin II shortly after his father Fereti died.
The Maroons won that Melbourne match 44-24, while Fa'asuamaleaui collected the FOGS Peter Jackson Memorial Award.
That honour recognises a Queensland player or staff member who represents the Origin spirit and commemorates late Maroons star Jackson.
Dolphins winger Selwyn Cobbo won the Ron McAuliffe Medal at Thursday's QRL awards in Brisbane, 17 years after his idol Greg Inglis received it.
Cobbo scored four tries, made four line breaks and averaged 184 metres during Queensland's 2-1 series defeat.
Billy Slater recalled him after a two-year Origin absence, following a career-best club season under Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf.
"I wanted to get back, so I worked really hard the whole off-season. All the extras I was doing paid off," Cobbo said.
He joined the Dolphins from Brisbane this year and recently extended his contract through 2031 after a disappointing 2025 Broncos campaign.
"The club has done a lot for me. They told me they would bring me back to Origin, and I just want to give back to them and play good footy here for the next five years," he said.
Cobbo will face the Sydney Roosters in Friday night's preliminary final, with an Australian recall under former Brisbane coach Kevin Walters another ambition.
