The Dolphins, despite their recent struggles, have shown great resilience in the face of a significant number of injuries.

With just one victory in their last 10 matches, they have had to dig deep to stay competitive as their inaugural season draws to a close.

The team's official website, dolphinsnrl.com.au, has reported on their upcoming match against the Cowboys, titled "Dolphins v Cowboys: Hammer time at Suncorp; Same 17 for Payten."

Although the Dolphins have suffered five losses by a margin of 10 points or less, there is much to admire about their performances against the Wests Tigers and Newcastle.

In both of these games, the outcome was uncertain until the very end, with the Dolphins narrowly missing out on victory.

On the other hand, the Cowboys find themselves in a precarious position.

Despite being in the hunt for a top-eight spot, they have experienced a three-game losing streak that has dropped them from seventh to ninth in the standings.

This slide has also significantly impacted their points differential, which has gone from +57 to +12.

If the Cowboys want to maintain their chances of making the finals, they must strengthen their defense.

Without improvement in this area, they run the risk of falling out of contention for the playoffs.

Their upcoming match against the Dolphins poses a significant challenge, and they will face an even tougher task in Round 27 when they travel to Sydney to take on the formidable Panthers.
