The Brisbane Broncos have announced that NRLW hooker Destiny Brill will be starting rehab for a calf tear after suffering the injury during a spirited training session at Red Hill on Tuesday evening.
Unfortunately, the Maroons' versatile player will be sitting out of the State of Origin series decider in Townsville, a tough blow after being named earlier in the week.
Scans have revealed that Brill will be sidelined for a number of weeks.
In a bold move, Queensland Under 19 representative Lily Peacock has been called up to fill Brill's spot in the Maroons' squad.
Meanwhile, a group of seven Broncos NRLW players, including the talented Chelsea Lenarduzzi, have touched down in Origin camp on the Gold Coast today.
They are gearing up for Game 3 in Townsville next Thursday, ready to tackle whatever obstacles come their way on the field.
