Des Hasler, one of the most celebrated coaches in rugby league history, has announced an unexpected decision regarding his future following his recent exit from the Gold Coast Titans.
Though many would understand if Hasler chose to retire after such a challenging period, he maintains that he is not done with coaching. At 64, he is not ready to step away from the sport, as indicated in a recent interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.
"I really enjoy coaching and will survey the landscape once I've had a bit of a break," Hasler remarked after his departure from the Titans. "I'll head back down to Sydney, assess everything and check out the lay of the land. We'll see what happens going forward."
While he plans to take some time for reflection, Hasler firmly dismissed any suggestions that it might be time to retire from coaching altogether.
