Tom Dearden has emphasized his commitment to the North Queensland Cowboys amid ongoing speculation about his future.
This week, Dearden restated that he intends to honor his contract with the Cowboys, which runs until 2029.
"Nothing has changed. I was able to get out and address the rumours, that was me being able to tell my side of the story," Dearden explained on Monday.
He acknowledged that his personal circumstances contribute to the rumors, saying, "I can understand where the rumours come from, I have a partner who is pregnant and lives in Sydney."
Despite the speculation, he reassured fans, stating, "But I think it was important to let all the Cowboys supporters know that I am not going anywhere. I'm signed there and I'm happy as can be up there."
Even with Dearden's reassurances, the whispers about his future have persisted, as reported by David Riccio of CODE Sports.
These discussions have been difficult to ignore, continuing since early this year.
