May played a remarkable 84 minutes at Leichhardt Oval, running for 228 meters from 29 hit-ups, leading his team to a 20-18 victory secured by an Adam Doueihi penalty goal in the 89th minute.
Despite the loss, Sharks fullback Will Kennedy shone brightly, earning three Dally M votes and maintaining his position at the top of the standings after eight rounds.
Other players making notable contributions include Warriors' Luke Metcalf, Storm's Eli Katoa, and Manly's Haumole Olakau'atu, all of whom garnered the maximum six votes for their impressive ANZAC Round performances.
