David Fifita's future with the Gold Coast Titans is uncertain, leading to speculation about a potential move to a Sydney team.

As one of the NRL's highest earners, with an annual salary near $1 million, Fifita has shown flashes of his former brilliance, but his performance hasn't matched the level he exhibited during his time with the Brisbane Broncos.

Currently out of favor with the Titans, he has faced a demotion to the QLD Cup, prompting reports that the Titans are actively seeking to trade him despite his contract running until the end of the 2026 season.

Fifita has recently been linked to the South Sydney Rabbitohs, just over a year after he opted against a four-year deal with the Rabbitohs in favor of the Sydney Roosters.

"It's going around that he called Wayne Bennett up a few weeks back, obviously he's having problems at the Titans and he's not in favour with Des Hasler," said Paul Kent on Kenty Blitz.
