Following an impressive State of Origin victory, Laurie Daley has taken aim at media commentators, alleging that they had "hidden agendas" aimed at destabilizing his NSW team.
Daley faced intense scrutiny both publicly and privately regarding the Blues' performance in the opening games of the series, but he found solace in a commanding 30-12 win at Suncorp Stadium.
This triumph marks only Daley's second series win during his two tenures as the NSW head coach.
In response to the criticism, Daley did not hold back.
"Some of the stuff that's been written, gee, come on," Daley remarked.
"Hopefully those blokes might have a decent look at themselves.
"It wasn't about the last laugh, it was just about these blokes playing the best they possibly could.
"And, in particular, people who have a crack when they don't even come to a training session, they won't front up to press conferences, show some balls. Where are they now?"
Currently, Daley's contract with the Blues expires after this season, and he has not made any comments regarding a potential extension with the NSWRL.
